The city center with wonderful homogeneity consists of a maze of little roads and picturesque alleys, small shaded squares, lined with mansions with lauze roofs of which the most famous are the house of La Bo\u00e9tie, the hotel du Barry, the Savignac hotel, the Pr\u00e9sidial. The cathedral Saint-Sacerdos and the Bishops&#8217; palace remind us that Sarlat was for several centuries an episcopal city.
